April Fools (April 1st Worm:Conficker Worm) Set To Cause Havoc!
Everyone knows they should stay on top of keeping their antivirus and spyware/adware applications up to date as well as staying up to date with each of the applications they have on their computer. It's definitely a daunting job but necessary.
One of the latest serious threats is just around the corner ready to start an attack over the worlds computers on April 1st. The Conficker Worm is a program that exploits several weaknesses in Microsoft’s Windows operating systems to attach it's payload.
Many computers as much as 12 million or more have been infected but also many have been cleaned and disinfected from this threat so it's hard to know exactly how many there actually are.
My suggestion to anyone reading this. If you don't have the time this moment to rescan your full computer and do the necessary upgrades to all your software then schedule it A.S.A.P. because software including Windows, Antivirus, Spyware, Flash Animator (Yes even the program you might not be aware that you use to see the wonderful videos at sites like YouTube needs to be patched regularly), Java (another application that runs in the background that allows you to access many of the features on assorted websites needs to be updated regularly) and more.
It's also a good idea to use a more secure web browser. According to the latest results it's been shown that Google Chrome thwarts hackers efforts more efficiently because of the 3 wall design of their software. Microsoft IE 8 is coming very close. Firefox does a great job but it still isn't designed as safe as Google Chrome.Google Chrome
